What are the costs involved?
This varies on what you are having done. Apart from full stencil jobs with borders and stencil patterns, there are taped patterns, and just plain blanket coats (one colour), so the price varies. There are also feature stencils like rosettes, and compass circles, your options are many. This can all be discussed with you. It really depends on the type of surface you require ie: spray pave, acid staining, type of stencil, type of top coat ie: epoxy, sealer. The price can range from $45.00 to $90.00 per sqm.
Can it go over exposed aggregate?
Yes – a slurry is applied over the exposed aggregate and then the required application is applied.
What type of maintenance is required?
We advise a clean and seal every 2 years to ensure the application is preserved from UV damage.
- Do not apply solvent based cleaning products to the surface.
- Use water based products only.
- Do not apply acid or chemical products to the surface.
- Do not drag heavy furniture across the surface.
What colour and/or pattern would suit my home?
This depends on your surroundings. Generally people try to select colours to compliment their environment. What colour is your roof, walls, fence, posts, awnings, downpipes and gutters? This is a very individual choice and we are more than happy to take the time you need to sit down and discuss your various options. We also have a large portfolio of completed spray paving and stencilling jobs to help you visualise your ideas.
How do I know it won’t lift or peel?
The cleaning process ensures the spray on paving will not lift from the concrete. This is the most important part of the whole procedure and atCustom Concrete Finishes we do not take short cuts when it comes to our concrete resurfacing work. Our business is well established and keeps up to date with all the new techniques and procedures in the concrete flooring industry, and remember too, we guarantee all our work!
Can the process be applied over tiles?
The surface of the tiles has to be lightly ground with a hand grinder. A slurry is then applied to the surface with a bonding agent. However, if the integrity of the tiles is compromised then we can not warrant the application.
